When Wife Became a Sulekha Blogger

Dear Subbu,

Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment. And thanks for calling me -- unfortunately, I was caught in traffic when you called first, and then was in a meeting when you called the second time. Would love to have a long chat someday.

Shuvashree must be a gifted writer indeed, considering that she blogs with such determination. Unfortunately, I have never read her blogs except on one occassion: in fact, as respective bloggers, we live in water-tight worlds. As of now, I am aware of her blogs only because she talks about them, though one of these days, I am going to sit and read all of them.

But am glad that she has found a voice in Sulekha, and also found friends like you.

The Taste of my tears!!

I would have gone to 'Trash' after two hours and retrieved the relationship, if not the mails.

A, B, C OF KISSING!!!

Am still wondering why you were laughing when you chanced upon your old post . What kind of laughter was that -- "How silly I could be!" or "Wow, I could write like this back then."

Cool post. Cheers.

The Journey

Simple things -- like this poem -- are often the most beautiful.

The Fifth Vice

Very well-articulated introspection! Nicely written.

To come to your thoughts. Try swapping places with the wife of an alcoholic or a serial womaniser or a gambler, and within days you will tell yourself: "I guess I was better off with a workaholic." Grass, as usual, looks greener on the other side.

Maybe he doesn't find you interesting enough, so he keeps himself busy with work. Maybe he dreads coming back home

Jokes apart, I think it would be only fair on your part to imagine yourself in his shoes for a few moments: maybe he is doing it all for you. I am sure you would also not have appreciated if he pampered you, gave you all his time and did everything that you wanted him to. Life, in that case, would have become too rosy to be comfortable.

The key is balance -- but that's something people often spend a lifetime in achieving. So don't blame him. Don't pity yourself. Get a DVD a watch a movie together.

Cheers!
