Funny read.

Sparrow eggs, milk, ghee, honey! The man will die of over-exertion (provided he doesn't die of cholesterol before that!)

If time has a smell, you could smell it inside these temples. When you stand alone in the sanctum, it almost feels as if the Chandela kings, who built the temples a thousand years ago, had performed an elaborate ritual just the evening before.

WOW Lovely lines. The images that burnt up inside my mind were breaktaking. If time has a smell... history and its longing leaves me breathless. :)

Thanks for writing this. Your talent for subtle wit and humor is impeccable.

Hi Bishwanath,

This was well written. More than the description of the sculptures, I found the human interaction interesting. Our attitude towards sex on the whole is unhealthy. We veer from the sleazy approach to the puritanical, with nothing in-between.

I had written something similar some time back on Sulekha. It had generated quite a debate in the comments section. Here's the link:

Sex is a four letter word

cheers,

Keshav

hmmm . 403 people have visited this blog before me and only one has commented on it. Does this mean that we love to read, but hate to talk about it? That we are all voyeurs at heart? Well, I liked your mini-travelogue-cum-guide to khajurao, though I would rather not see some of the more colourful sculptures you describe.
